65 77 720 Removing and installing (replacing) left B-pillar sensor (Cooper Convertible)

Failure to observe correct procedures can deploy the airbag and cause injuries.
Preliminary work needed:
- Disconnect BATTERY GROUND LEAD
- Remove side TRIM PANEL .
Removal:
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Remove screw (2).
Remove sensor (3).
Installation:
Position sensor (3).
Tighten screw (2).
Tightening torque 65 77 3AZ .
Join and lock plug connection (1).
Required reworking:
- Connect BATTERY GROUND LEAD.
- Install side TRIM PANEL .
