65 12 315 Removing and installing (replacing) HU-H) (Cooper Convertible)

Attention! 

Risk of damage!

A hard disk is installed in the head unit.

Carry out mechanical work on the headunit and adjacent components with vehicle care.

Avoid subjecting the headunit to vibration/shocks.

Attention! 

Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic damage (ESD protection).

NOTE: Comply with NOTES on handling optical fibers.

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

Unscrew the screws (1).

NOTE: The number of connectors can vary depending on the equipment version.

Unlock and disconnect all connectors (1).

Feed out the headunit (2) towards the top.

Installation: 

Feed in the headunit (2) from top to bottom.

Connect and lock all the connectors (1).

Tighten down screws (1).

Only for US version with satellite radio: 

Additional work is required when replacing the headunit!

Required follow-up work: 

Replacement: 

Carry out PROGRAMMING/CODING .

On vehicles with a production date as from 07/2015, install the correct NAVIGATION MAP .

Importing the Service history:
