Replace pulse sensor on exhaust camshaft (B36, B38) (Cooper Convertible)

IMPORTANT:

on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection)!
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove ACOUSTIC COVER .
Removal:
Unlock ventilation line (1) and detach from cylinder head cover.
Unlock connector (1) and detach.
Remove screw (2).
Remove pulse generator (3).
Installation:
Check gasket, replace damaged gasket.
Part : Gasket
Install pulse sensor (3).
Tighten screw (2).
Tightening torque 13 62 1AZ .
Attach connector (1).
Connector (1) must engage audibly.
Connect ventilation line (1) to cylinder head cover.
Ventilation line (1) must snap audibly into place on cylinder head cover.
Required follow-up work:
- Install the ACOUSTIC COVER .
