Front Panel Installation Procedure (Cooper, Cooper S, John Cooper Works)

To avoid unnecessary adjustment work, apply the following procedure.

Observe FRAME REFERENCE DIMENSIONS .

Step 1: Setting of deformation element. Refer to REMOVE AND INSTALL/REPLACE DEFORMATION ELEMENT FOR FRONT LEFT BUMPER or REMOVE AND INSTALL/REPLACE DEFORMATION ELEMENT FOR FRONT RIGHT BUMPER .

Set the deformation element (1) so that the areas (3) are parallel.

NOTE: The deformation element cannot be height-adjusted because of the stop (2).

Step 2: Setting of "cross connection support. Refer to REPLACE GIRDER FOR LEFT CROSS CONNECTION or REPLACE GIRDER OF RIGHT CROSS CONNECTION ."

Set the cross connection support (1) according to the specified dimensions.

Dimension a = approx. 3 mm.

NOTE: If the cross connection support is removed on only one side of the vehicle, measure dimension a on the side where it has not been removed and apply it as the setting dimension.

Tighten all screw connections with tightening torque.
