51 11 156 Removing and installing front bumper panel: Notes

Removal:

Release trim (1) from latch mechanisms (2) and clips (3).

NOTE: Carry out work on the right side in the same way as for the left side illustrated here.

Release screws (1).

Release screws (1).

Pull bumper panel (2) slightly towards the front with aid of a second person.

Unlock and disconnect all plug connections depending on equipment specification.

Remove bumper panel (2) towards the front with the aid of an auxiliary person.

Installation:

Position bumper panel (2) with the aid of a second person.

Connect all plug connections.

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 11 1AZ .

Tighten down screws (1).

Fasten trim (1) on latch mechanisms (2) and clips (3).

Required follow-up work:

Adjust bumper to specified GAP DIMENSIONS .
