Replacing flexible disc for rear prop shaft (Cooper ALL4)

Preliminary work needed:

Remove EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Remove heat shields.
Unlock the TRANSMISSION INTERLOCK .

Unscrew the screws (1).

IMPORTANT: The rear part of the prop shaft must not hang freely, otherwise the bellows of the center propeller will be damaged.
It is mandatory to support the prop shaft with a lever around the central mount to protect joints.

Loosen screws.

Push the prop shaft towards the front and remove from the rear axle differential.

Release screws and remove flexible disc (1) from prop shaft.

Installation:

Check centering.

Replace damaged CENTRAL MOUNT .

IMPORTANT: Plastic central mount must not be greased.

During installation arrows (2) on circumference of flexible disc must point to flange arms (3).

Install flexible disc (1).

Parts: Replace ZNS screws and self-locking nuts.

Insert screws and tighten.

Tightening torque and angle of rotation 26 11 3AZ .

Install prop shaft and push towards the front.

Parts: Replace screws.

Insert screws and tighten.

Tightening torque 26 11 2AZ .

Install central mount.

Logs (1) must point downwards at installation.

Insert screws and tighten.

Tightening torque 26 11 4AZ .

Required follow-up work:

Install heat shields.
Install EXHAUST SYSTEM .
