Front Panel Installation Procedure (Cooper Clubman F54)

To avoid unnecessary adjustment work, apply the following procedure.

Step 1: Setting of deformation element

Set the deformation element (1) so that the areas (3) are parallel.

NOTE: The deformation element cannot be height-adjusted because of the stop (2).

Refer to REMOVE AND INSTALL/REPLACE DEFORMATION ELEMENT FOR FRONT LEFT BUMPER and REMOVE AND INSTALL/REPLACE DEFORMATION ELEMENT FOR FRONT RIGHT BUMPER .

Sten 2: Settinn of "cross connection support."

Set the cross connection support (1) according to the specified dimensions.

Dimension a = approx. 3 mm.

NOTE: If the cross connection support is removed on only one side of the vehicle, measure dimension a on the side where it has not been removed and apply it as the setting dimension.

Refer to REPLACE GIRDER FOR LEFT CROSS CONNECTION and REPLACE GIRDER OF RIGHT CROSS CONNECTION .

Tighten all screw connections with TIGHTENING TORQUE .
