Replacing drive cable (Cooper)
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove mechanism for GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF PANEL .
- Remove electric motor for SLIDING/TILTING SUNROOF .
IMPORTANT:
Always replace drive cable for glass slide/tilt sunroof in pairs.
Removal:
Slide drive cable (1) fully to the rear and pull out from frame (2).
Installation:
Feed in drive cable (1) from the rear into frame (2).
Slide drive cable (1) completely towards the front to stop in area (A).
NOTE:
Both drive cables must be at stop in area (A).
Required follow-up work:
- Install electric motor for SLIDING/TILTING SUNROOF .
- Install mechanism for GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF PANEL .
