Check internal tightness of the coolant thermostat:

Mount special tool 2 408 958 on the coolant thermostat.

Connect the special tool 17 0 100 (17 0 102) to special tool 2 408 958.

With special tool (hand pump) 17 0 100 (17 0 101), establish 0.5 bar pressure.

The pressure may fall to 0.1 bar.

It is internally tight, when the pressure is maintained at 0.1 bar.

If no pressure can be built up, then the coolant thermostat is leaking internally.

The coolant thermostat must be removed again and reinstalled.

Then repeat the operation.

Remove all special tools.
