51 16 220 Replacing wooden finishers for oddments tray (center console)

Remove finisher for preselector lever, refer to 51 16 210 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FINISHER FOR PRESELECTOR LEVER .

Remove fresh-air grill in rear, refer to 64 22 190 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRESH-AIR GRILL IN REAR OF CAR .

Unfasten screws (1) and nuts (2).

Open cover (1) and remove center console (2) (rear) at same time. Open glovebox (3) and unclip.

Unfasten plug connection (1) (ashtray lighting). Unfasten screws (2) and remove center console insert.

Unfasten screws.

Open ashtray cover (1) and remove.

Unfasten screws (1) and remove insert (2) from wooden finisher strip.

Unfasten screws (1) and remove wooden finisher strip.

Installation: 

Install wooden finisher strip. Gap (A) should be as small as possible, then tighten down screws.
