52 26 411 Replacing backrest cover for rear seat (through-loading system) on left

Remove left seat back (through-loading system). Refer to 52 26 015 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT BACKREST FOR REAR SEAT (LOAD THROUGH SYSTEM) (TOURING) .

Remove rear head restraints. Refer to 52 26 390 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR HEAD RESTRAINTS (THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM) .

Remove armrest for rear seat backrest (through-loading system). Refer to 52 26 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ARMREST FOR REAR-SEAT BACKREST (THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM) .

Remove trim of actuator for rear left seat. Refer to 52 26 301 REMOVING AND INSTALLING /REPLACING ACTUATING MECHANISM FOR LEFT REAR SEAT BACKREST (THROUGH-LOADING SYSTEM) .

Release screw on seat outer mount.

Installation:

Screw down screw (1), cover (2), plastic washer (3) and washer (4) as illustrated.

Unscrew seat center mount.

Unclip and remove cover.

Unfasten screws.

Remove trim.

Separate webbing.

Lever cover with trim wires (1) out of metal clutches (2).

Detach cover all around by levering out piping (1).

Detach trim wire (1) from rear panel.

Replacement, "Padding":

Note clip positions.

Cut through or bend open all clips, remove remnants of clips from cover and padding.

Installation:

Lock new clips by bending with special tool 52 0 050.

Replacement Only, "Backrest Cover":

Remove all trim wires from cover.

Cut new cover and insert the trim wires.
