66 53 020 Removing and installing (replacing) reversing camera

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unlock plug connections (3) and (4) and disconnect.

Release screws (1) and (2).

Remove drive unit (5).

Installation note: 

The operation emblem (1) must be completely closed when installing the drive unit.

The operating lever (2) on the operating emblem (1) must be connected correctly with the guide in the drive unit.

Replacement: 

Remove gaiter (1) from housing (2).

Installation note: 

Gaiter (1) must always be replaced.

Release screws (1).

Feed out cover (2) in direction of arrow.

Pull rear view camera (1) a short distance in direction of arrow (A) and simultaneously in direction of arrow (B) out of housing (2).

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Feed out cable (2).

Release screws (1).

Remove reversing camera (2).

Replacement: 

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING

After installation:
