66 33 010 Removing and installing/replacing ultrasound sensor for parking assistant

Repair work in area (1) is not permitted.

REPLACE SIDE WALL .

NOTE: Example shown on F10:
IMPORTANT: There must be no pressure  exerted on PMA sensor surface (1).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

NOTE: Front side panel area all around front auxiliary turn indicator with parking maneuvering assistant sensor must not be damaged due to the measuring accuracy.
IMPORTANT: Risk of damage.

Carefully unlock catches with a suitable tool . Remove parking maneuvering assistant sensor (1) from auxiliary turn indicator (2)  .

Installation note: 

Catches must lock correctly.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage.

Decoupling ring must not be crushed.

Installation note: 

Moisten decoupling ring (2) prior to fitting with approved anti-friction agent.

Make sure decoupling ring (2) is correctly seated on parking maneuvering assistant sensor (1).

Installation note: 

After installation, check decoupling ring (1) is correctly seated.
