61 71 061 Replacing washer fluid reservoir for windscreen washer system

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: Washer fluid will escape when the windscreen washer pump is pulled out. Have a suitable collecting vessel and cleaning cloth ready.

Release cable strap (1).

Unlock filler channel (2) on washer fluid reservoir (3) and pull out.

Release screw (4).

Release water pipe (5) from bracket.

Pull out washer fluid reservoir (1) in direction of arrow slightly.

Remove WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH  for windscreen washer system, WINDSCREEN WASHER PUMP  and if necessary WASHER PUMP  for headlight cleaning system from washer fluid reservoir and set to one side.

Remove washer fluid reservoir (1).

Installation note: 

Replace sealing rings and strainers of windscreen washer pumps.

Coat sealing rings of windscreen washer pumps with lubricant.

Lay water pipes of washer pumps without kinks and clip into holders on washer fluid reservoir.

Fill washer fluid reservoir for windscreen washer system.

Filling capacity, windscreen washer fluid reservoir: 5.0 liters
