51 46 001 Removing and installing (replacing) trim panel for storage shelf

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove TRIM PANEL FOR ROOF PILLAR AT REAR  left/right
• Remove all TOP TETHER EYES

Version with roller sunblind: 

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 46 2AZ .

Installation note: 

Guide (2) is only fitted for middle screw (1).

Ensure guide (2) is correctly seated.

Version with roller sunblind: 

Release and disconnect plug connection (1) at right C-pillar.

Pull rear seat (1) slightly forwards and release expanding rivets (2) underneath.

Slightly raise storage shelf (3) at the front and unlock and detach plug connections underneath for speaker.

Raise storage shelf (3) at the front over side trim panel and rear seat and remove inwards.

Installation note: 

Make sure storage shelf is correctly seated in ventilation grille (1).

In the case of replacement with appropriate version: 

• Modify left/right SPEAKER
• Modify ROLLER SUNBLIND
