51 16 172 Removing and installing/replacing center armrest storage compartment

Special tools required:

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove center armrest cover. See 51 16 167 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) CENTER ARMREST COVER .

NOTE: Similar to graphic.

Unlock and disconnect all front plug connections (2) on center console storage compartment (1).

Unlock retaining tabs (2) all the way around with special tool 00 9 327 .

Version with LED only - F12/F13:

Disconnect plug connection (2) from LED.

Lift out center console storage compartment (1) from top.

Replacement

Modify charging socket cover
Modify front and rear insert mat
Modify floor cover
Version with LED only - F12/F13:
Modify light guide
