51 47 151 Removing and installing/replacing left luggage compartment wheel arch trim

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove top trim from tail panel. See 51 46 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TOP COVER ON TAIL PANEL .
Remove luggage compartment storage compartment. See 51 47... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT STORAGE COMPARTMENT .

Release expanding rivet (1).

Lower the lower rear window trim panel (3).

Disconnect plug connection from luggage compartment lights (2).

Remove the lower rear window trim panel (3).

Release expanding rivet (1).

Detach the emergency release button (2) from the Bowden cable.

Release screw (4) and remove lashing eye.

Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim (3).

Installation note:

The luggage compartment wheel arch panel (1) must be seated correctly under the rubber seal (2) and rail (3).
