63 21 057 Replacing a socket housing for left or right rear light (on rear lid)

WARNING: Follow instructions for HANDLING LIGHT BULBS (EXTERIOR LIGHTS) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LEFT OR RIGHT COVER from rear lid trim panel

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, rear lid trim panel is shown removed.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Turn socket housing for tail light/adaptive brake light force display (2) in direction of arrow and pull out of rear light (3).

Remove BULB .

Installation:

Make sure socket housing for tail light/adaptive brake light force display (2) is correctly seated and engaged on rear light (3).
