32 41 440 Replacing suction line from oil reservoir to hydraulic pump N74: Notes

WARNING: DANGER OF POISONING if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin!
RISK OF INJURY if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin!
IMPORTANT: Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
Close off line connections with seal plugs.
IMPORTANT: Pressure line and connections must be provided with suitable seal plugs 32 1 270 immediately after removal!

Recycling: 

Catch and dispose of hydraulic fluid in a suitable collecting vessel.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unfasten hose clamp (1) on oil reservoir.

Release screw on holder (2).

Detach intake pipe from fluid reservoir.

Installation note: 

Marks on fluid reservoir and intake pipe must match up.

Replace hose clamp.

Release screws (1) on hydraulic pump and detach line (2).

Installation note: 

Replace sealing ring.

Tightening torque 37 13 10 .

Release screws (1) from holder on hydraulic pump and lay line (2) to one side.

Tightening torque 32 41 16AZ .

Release nut (1) from line clip on alternator from below.

Release hose clamp (1) from below on hydraulic pump and detach intake pipe from power steering pump.

Carefully lift out complete intake pipe from engine compartment.

Installation note: 

Replace hose clamp.

Marks on intake pipe and hydraulic pump must match up.

Make sure hydraulic lines are laid without tension and with sufficient distance to adjoining components.
