51 35 001 Removing and installing / replacing gearbox for the roller sun blind of left or right rear door

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Retract the roller sunblind
• Remove DOOR TRIM PANEL 
• Remove the WEATHER STRIP ON THE INSIDE  of the triangle window

Partially loosen the cover for the window frame (1).

Unfasten screws (1) to (3).

Tightening torque 51 16 18AZ .

Release screws (1).

Pull the Flex shaft (2) out.

Slacken bolt (1).

Swivel the gearbox (1) to the side.

Pull the gearbox (1) off in direction of arrow.

Installation note: 

Pivot arm (2) must be vertical.

Feed in gearbox (1) with pivot arm (2), radial shaft axle (3) and Flex shaft (4).

Radial shaft axle (3) must be seated correctly in the gearing.
