51 47 440 Removing and installing/replacing rear carpet on seat pan

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:
- Remove both front seats. Refer to 52 13 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/SEMI-ELECTRIC) , 52 14 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) , and 52 17 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (COMFORT) .
- Remove rear seat. Refer to 52 24 005 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING REAR SEAT .
- Remove both panels for door pillars. Refer to 51 43 150 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING TRIM FOR LEFT OR RIGHT DOOR PILLAR (BOTTOM) .
- Remove both rear inner entrance cover strips. Refer to 51 47 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING ENTRANCE COVER STRIP, REAR (INSIDE) LEFT OR RIGHT .
- Remove handbrake lever. Refer to 34 41 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING HANDBRAKE LEVER .
Version with central bass speaker:
- Remove both central bass speaker trims. Refer to 65 12 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT CENTRAL BASS SPEAKER (UNDER FRONT SEAT) .
Build date from 09/2005:
- Remove airbag control unit. Refer to 65 77 016 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING AIRBAG CONTROL UNIT (BUILD DATE FROM 09/2005) .
Build date up to 08/2005:
If necessary, disconnect plug connections from air duct (1).
Remove air duct (1).
Lay back cable (2) and feed out carpet (3) towards rear/top.
Installation:
Make sure that handbrake Bowden cable, apertures for air guides and attachment points are correctly positioned.
