51 16... Removing and installing or replacing retaining ring on left or right door mirror

Necessary preliminary tasks

Remove COVER CAP FROM DOOR MIRROR
Remove TRIM FROM DOOR MIRROR
Remove DRIVE for electrically adjustable door mirror

Release screws (1) on retaining ring (2).

Unclip catch (1) and remove retaining ring (2).

Installation:

Catch (1) and guide (2) must not be damaged.

Locators (3) for multitooth catches must not be damaged.
