17 11 100 Removing and installing/replacing coolant expansion tank (S62)

Drain off and top up coolant. Refer to 17 00 005 DRAINING AND ADDING COOLANT (S62) .

Remove upper section of right intake filter housing. Refer to 13 71 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT INTAKE HOUSING (S62) .

Remove expansion rivets (1) from expansion tank.

Loosen hose clamps (2).

Remove connector from level sensor.

Release hose clamp on expansion tank.

Detach hose from expansion tank.

Pull out expansion tank in upward direction.

Installation

Suspend expansion tank in fan cowl.

Add recommended coolant.

Vent cooling system and check for leaks. Refer to 17 00 039 VENTING COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECKING FOR WATER LEAKS (S62) .
