	Remove
1	Remove right front axle shaft.		AR33.30-P-0620S
2	Clean working area around radial shaft sealing ring (1r).	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
3	Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1r).	Do not damage the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (1r). Otherwise, the front axle differential (1) will be leaky. Connect internal extractor and slide hammer puller to threaded rod of extraction tool. Impact extractor	Fig 2

4	Check seat of radial shaft sealing ring (1r) for damage.	If the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (1r) is damaged, ↓ replace front axle differential (1). Model 223 with engine 176, 256 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)	AR33.30-P-0525S

	Install
5	Coat sealing lip of radial shaft sealing ring (1r) using universal hypoid gear oil.
	Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)	Replace radial shaft sealing ring (1r).	BB00.40-P-0235-07A
6	Drive radial shaft sealing ring (1r) into front axle differential (1) using drift.	Drift	Fig 4
7	Install right front axle shaft.		AR33.30-P-0620S
