| 2 | Remove hydraulic valve clearance compensating elements. | AR05.00-P-2011SVZ | |
| 3 | Attach the relevant cylinder head (1) to the assembly device (01). | Ensure that the counterholders (02) are correctly attached to the cylinder head (1). The cylinder head (1) and valves (6) may otherwise be damaged. |

| 5 | Align the air cushion on the assembly device (01) centrally with respect to the corresponding combustion chamber using the lever (06). | ||

| 7 | Compress the valve springs (3), remove the valve keepers (4) and decompress the valve springs (3). | ||

| 8 | Remove the upper valve spring retainers (2), valve springs (3) and lower valve spring retainers (7). | ||

| 10 | Close the compressed air valve and remove the compressed-air hose from the assembly device (01). | ||

| 11 | Remove cylinder head (1) from assembly device (01) and remove valves (6). | ||

| 12 | Check valve springs (3) for damage. | If there is a problem, ↓ Replace all valve springs (3). |

| 13 | Check top valve spring retainers (2) and bottom valve spring retainers (7) for score marks, cracks, and pitting. | If there is a problem, ↓ Replace the upper valve spring retainers (2) and lower valve spring retainers (7). |

| 14 | Check valve stems for formation of burrs and pitting. | If there is a problem, ↓ replace valves (6). |

| 15 | Check the condition of the valves (6), valve seats and valve seat guides. | ||
| General information on checking valves, valve seats and valve guides | If problems exist, ↓ Replace the valves (6) or cylinder heads (1). |

| 16 | Insert the valves (6) in the cylinder head (1). | ||
