Remove/Install Upper Coolant Expansion Reservoir For Low-Temperature Circuit - AR09.41-P-0050SC

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove upper engine cover.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Do not install upper engine cover until after the leak test. AP01.10-P-2405-01OA
2 Slowly open cap of the coolant expansion reservoir (1) and remove.    
3 Suction off coolant from coolant expansion reservoir (1). FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02MA 
    SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 1
4 Remove bleed line (2) from coolant expansion reservoir (1).   AR20.30-P-0010-02SC
5 Remove feed line (3) from coolant expansion reservoir (1).   AR20.30-P-0010-02SC
6 Remove vacuum line (4) from coolant expansion reservoir (1).    
7 Remove screw (5). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir at top to low-pressure line *BA09.41-P-1011-01X 
8 Remove coolant expansion reservoir (1) in upward direction. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Wet elastomer bearings (6) with lubricant.
Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L

INSPECT Check     
9 Check elastomer bearings (6) of coolant expansion reservoir (1) for damage. If there is a problem,

Replace the elastomer bearings (6).
 
10 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
11 Check low-temperature circuit for leak tightness.   AR09.41-P-1011SC 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
12 Perform an engine test run; when doing so, check the low-temperature circuit to ensure that it functions properly and is leak-tight.
