Remove/Install Rear Door - AR72.12-P-0600SG

	Remove/install
1	Disconnect ground line from battery.		AR54.10-P-0051S
2	Release and disconnect electrical connector of rear door (1).
3	Unscrew screw (6).	Bolt, door holder to B-pillar	*BA72.12-P-1016-01U
4	Remove cover caps from screws (3).
5	Remove screw/bolts (3).

		Moisten thread on screws (3) with thread locking agent.
		Use only paints approved by Mercedes-Benz AG: https://xentry.mercedes-benz.com
		Bolt to hinge shaft	*BA72.12-P-1019-01U
		Thread locking agent, Loctite 243 (10 ml) If there is paint damage in area of screws (3), ↓ Repair paint damage.	*BR00.45-Z-1133-02A
6	Attach engine crane to stabilize rear door (1).	Protect trims at rear door (1). Otherwise damage will occur.
		Engine crane serves solely to stabilize rear door (1).
		Commercially available devices/tools  Engine crane
		Commercially available devices/tools  Carry belt
7	Remove rear door (1) from hinges and set down on a suitable base.

		Align rear door (1) so that upward and at a right angle to hinges. Rear door (1) will otherwise twist in hinges.
		Remove rear door (1) carefully. If the rear door (1) comes into contact, the paint can be damaged.
		Lift rear door (1) evenly.
		Engine crane serves solely to stabilize rear door (1). Weight of rear door (1) is absorbed by holding device.

		Commercially available devices/tools  Carry belt
		Aid of helper required.
8	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
9	Check gap dimensions of rear door (1), correct if necessary.		AR72.12-P-0650SG
