	Check
1	Check gap dimensions at rear door (1) all-round.		AR60.00-P-0900-01S
		Always perform adjustment work on uneven gaps on corresponding upper and lower hinge leaves. Otherwise tension and damage can occur.

2	Check transition of rear fender to rear door (1).	Contour of rear fender must align with contour of rear door (1) or protrude by max. 1 mm.
3	Check transition between rear door (1) and front door.	Contour of rear door (1) must align with contour of front door or protrude max. 1 mm.
	Remove
4	Glue on adhesive strips (14) and cut in center of door joint.	Adhesive strips (14) serve for orientation during adjustment procedure.
5	Mark installation position of lock striker (13).
6	Unscrew screws (11) and remove lock striker (13).
7	Mark installation position of wedge-type stop (2).
8	Unscrew screws (12) and remove wedge-type stop (2).
9	Support rear door (1) with lifting device.

		Do not support rear door (1) at outer paneling. Otherwise the rear door (1) can be damaged by its high dead weight.
	Adjust
10	Remove trim at B-pillar.		AR68.30-P-4700SG
11	Release screws (19) and nuts (17) at B-pillar.
12	Adjust gap dimensions at rear door (1) by moving and/or lifting or lowering lifting device.

13	Tighten screws (19) and nuts (17) at B-pillar.	Screw/bolt/nut, hinge to body	*BA72.12-P-1014-01U
14	Remove lifting device.
15	Release screws (16) at upper door-side hinge leaf (18) and by moving rear door (1) adjust transition of rear door (1) to front door.	The contour of the front door (1) must be flush with the contour of the rear door or may project by a maximum of 1 mm.
16	Release screws (15) at lower door-side hinge leaf (20) and by moving rear door (1) adjust transition of rear door (1) to front door.	The contour of the front door (1) must be flush with the contour of the rear door or may project by a maximum of 1 mm.
17	Tighten screws (16, 15).	Bolt, hinge on door	*BA72.12-P-1013-01U
18	Position lock striker (13) at applied marking and screw in screws (11) up to end stop.	It should still be possible to adjust the lock striker (13).
19	Adjust transition between rear door (1), C-pillar and roof paneling by moving lock striker (13).	Rear door (1) contour must be aligned with C-pillar contour or may protrude by max. 1 mm.
20	Tighten screws (11) of lock striker (13).
	Install
21	Position wedge-type stop (2) at applied marking and fasten screws (12).	It should still be possible to adjust the wedge-type stop (2).
22	Carefully close and open rear door (1).	Wedge-type stop (2) at C-pillar thus positions itself in accordance with door-side wedge-type stop.
23	Move body-side wedge-type stop (2) at C-pillar approx. 1 mm upwards and tighten screws (12).	Rear door (1) thus supports itself on wedge-type stop (2) so that its entire dead weight is not resting on lock striker (13). The rear door (1) should be easy to close.

24	Repair paint damage to screw heads in working area with suitable touch-up paint pen.
25	Protect rear door (1) and body in area of both hinges against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
