	Remove/install
1	Disconnect ground line from 12 V on-board electrical system battery.	Model 223.0/1/9 with code U60 (Pedestrian protection - Active hood)

2	Remove front engine compartment linings.		AR61.20-P-1105S
3	Remove front left and right fender liner in fender from front bumper (1).		AR88.10-P-1301S
4	Unscrew left and right screws (5) on front bumper (1).
5	Unscrew left and right screws (3) on front bumper (1).
6	Disconnect electrical connectors (2, 4) on left and right.
7	Remove left and right seal (6).
8	Remove screw (9) on left and right from front bumper (1).	Only tighten screws (9) after adjusting gap dimensions.
9	Remove screws (7).	Only tighten screws (7) after adjusting gap dimensions.
10	Release catch hooks (8) and guide out front bumper (1).	Press in catch hooks (8) only to first catch.
11	Disconnect electrical connector from front 360° camera.	Model 223.0/1/9 with code 501 (360° camera)
12	Disconnect electrical connector at sensor cover.	Model 223.0/1/9 with code 233 (Adaptive cruise control Plus (DISTRONIC PLUS))
13	Remove front bumper (1).	id of helper required.
14	Check impact absorber for damage.

15	Check front impact sensors for damage.	Model 223.0/1/9 with code U60 (Pedestrian protection - Active hood)

16	Install in the reverse order.
17	Check gap dimensions on front bumper (1) and adjust if necessary.		AR88.20-P-2001S
18	Calibrate all the cameras in the 360° camera system using the diagnostic system.	Model 223.0/1/9 with code 501 (360° camera)

19	Perform calibration of radar sensor for central area.	Model 223.0/1/9 with code 239 (Adaptive cruise control Pro (DISTRONIC PRO)) Model 223.0/1/9 with code 258 (Collision warning system with active brake application FCW-Stop) When replacing radar sensor for central area.
