	Remove/install
1	Disconnect ground line from battery.		AR54.10-P-0051S
2	Release and disconnect electrical connector of front door (1).
3	Unscrew screw (6).	Screw, door holder to mounting supports	*BA72.10-P-1007-01BA
4	Mask off fender (4) and front door (1) in the cross-hatched areas with adhesive tape (5).	Adhesive fabric tape	*BR00.45-Z-1062-02A
5	Remove cover caps from screws (3).
6	Remove screw/bolts (3).

		Moisten thread on screws (3) with thread locking agent. Use only paints approved by Mercedes-Benz AG: https://xentry.mercedes-benz.com
		Bolt to hinge shaft	*BA72.10-P-1016-01BA
		Thread locking agent, Loctite 243 (10 ml) If there is paint damage in area of screws (3), ↓ Repair paint damage.	*BR00.45-Z-1133-02A
7	Attach engine crane to stabilize front door (1).	Protect trims at front door (1). Otherwise damage will occur. Engine crane serves solely to stabilize front door (1). Commercially available devices/tools  Engine crane Commercially available devices/tools  Carry belt
8	Remove front door (1) from hinges and lay on a suitable base.

		Align front door (1) so that upward and at a right angle to hinges. Front door (1) will otherwise twist in hinges. Carefully remove front door (1). If the front door (1) comes into contact with the vehicle, the paint can be damaged. Lift front door (1) evenly. Engine crane serves solely to stabilize front door (1). Weight of front door (1) is absorbed by holding device. Commercially available devices/tools  Engine crane Commercially available devices/tools  Carry belt Aid of helper required.
9	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
10	Check gap dimensions of front door (1), correct if necessary.		AR72.10-P-0550SG
