Remove/Install Transmission Oil Pump - AR27.10-P-0400MFC

CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove transmission.   AR27.10-P-0009MFC 
2 Secure transmission on assembly stand.   AR27.10-P-0600-01NKB

3 Remove dual clutch transmission fully integrated transmission control electrohydraulic controller unit (Y3/14).   AR27.19-P-0200MFC 
4 Remove dual clutch.   AR27.20-P-0070MFC 
5 Remove oil pump gear (2) with puller from oil-pump drive shaft (00). INSTALLATION NOTES Replace oil pump gear (2) after each removal.
Otherwise the transmission will be damaged.
NOTES
Do not use an impact wrench or compressed air tool.
Otherwise damage will occur to the puller (00) and the shaft of the primary oil pump (55).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace oil pump gear (2).
IMPORTANT Observe nut's direction of rotation (left-hand thread).

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut (left-hand thread), oil pump gear to oil pump *BA27.10-P-1008-04F 
    SPECIAL TOOL Puller Fig 7
6 Remove nut and sensor rotor using puller from shaft of oil pump. NOTES
Do not use an impact wrench or compressed air tool.

    Otherwise damage will occur to the puller and the shaft of the primary oil pump (55).
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, hollow shaft rotor to oil pump

7 Unscrew screw/bolts (4). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, clutch housing to transmission housing *BA27.10-P-1001-04F 
8 Remove bolts (3) and pry off coupling housing (27K) using suitable tool at the cutouts from the transmission housing (27G).    
  Notes on application of flange sealants to seal major assemblies   AH00.00-P-0500-01MNE
  Notes on sealant path for transmission housing INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Observe sealant path.
Apply sealant on sealing surface of transmission housing (27G).
Replace bolts (3) and seals of oil ducts (3 ea.).

    Sealant, Loctite 5970, 50 ml *BR00.45-Z-1013-01A 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, clutch housing to transmission housing *BA27.10-P-1001-04F 
CLEAN Clean     
9 Remove sealant from coupling housing (27K) and transmission housing (27G).   AR01.00-P-0050-01A
  Notes on application of flange sealants to seal major assemblies NOTES
When cleaning the transmission housing (27G) and coupling housing (27K) make sure that dirt particles do not enter the transmission.
Even the smallest dirt particles in the hydraulic components will lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the transmission.

    Loctite 7200 *BR00.45-Z-1038-04A 
    Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray *BR00.45-Z-1046-04A 
10 Pull primary oil pump (55) using remover out of transmission housing (27G).    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Automatic transmission fluid (ATF) (specification 236.21) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace the primary oil pump (55).
Install sleeve (03) of device (02) onto shaft of primary oil pump (55).
The sleeve (03) acts as a thrust piece for the assembly sleeve (04) during installation of the primary oil pump (55).
Note left-hand thread on shaft of oil pump.
Moisten sealing rings of primary oil pump (55) before installing them with oil and mount primary oil pump (55) using device (02).
The arrow marks on the primary oil pump (55) and on the transmission housing (27G) must line up during installation.

11 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
12 Check transmission oil level, correct, if necessary.   AR27.00-P-0104MFC 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
13 Perform engine test run and check transmission for proper operation and leak tightness.
