Remove/Install CROSSMEMBER Under Instrument Panel - Ar68.10-D-1120TS

	Remove/install
1	Remove windshield wiper system for windshield.		AR82.30-D-0002TS
2	Unscrew bolts (2).	Screw, crossmember to firewall	*BA68.10-N-1001-02TS
3	Remove instrument panel.		AR68.10-D-1000TS
4	Remove screws (18), remove shift gate (19) from crossmember (1) and place to one side with installed shift cables.	Model 907.1/6/8 with code GE2 (6-speed manual transmission ZF EL 55) Model 907 with code GD8 (6-speed ECO Gear 360 manual transmission) Model 907 with code GD9 (6-speed manual transmission ECO Gear 480) : Hook shift gate (19) firstly by inserting the guide pins (20) on the crossmember (1).
5	Remove steering column tube from crossmember (1) and secure against falling down.		AR46.10-D-0400TS
		Do not completely remove steering column tube.
6	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) from voltage converter (4).	Model 907 with code EE1 (230 V socket) Model 907 with code EE3 (115 V socket)
7	Cut through line bracket (5) and disconnect electrical wiring harness (6) from electrical wiring harness (7).	Model 907 with code HH2 (Electrically powered hot-air auxiliary heater) : Install new line bracket (5).
8	Disconnect electrical connector (8) from airbag/seat belt tensioner control unit.
9	Disconnect electrical connector (9) from blower regulator.	Disconnecting the electrical connector (9) allows the electrical main wiring harness (10) to be moved.
10	Remove screws (11).
11	Remove air ducts (12).
12	Remove bolts (13).
13	Remove screw (14).	Model 907 with code H00 (Hot-air duct to passenger compartment)
14	Remove air duct (15).	Model 907 with code H00 (Hot-air duct to passenger compartment)
15	Unclip bracket (21) from crossmember (1) (arrows A) and bring out of the working area.	Do not remove control units located in the bracket (21).

16	Expose electrical main wiring harness (10) and electrical wiring harness (10.1) and release from crossmember (1).	Clip remover	Fig 1
17	Remove screw/bolts (16).	Screw, crossmember to vehicle floor holder	*BA68.10-N-1003-02TS
18	Remove screws (17).	Screw/bolt, crossmember to A-pillar	*BA68.10-N-1002-02TS
19	Release crossmember (1) and pull toward the rear slightly.
20	Pull electrical wiring harness (10.1) in the direction of the (arrow B) between the crossmember (1) and the air conditioner housing.
21	Pull electrical main wiring harness (10) slightly in the direction of the front passenger side and pull downward over the crossmember (1).	Handle main wiring harness (10) carefully. Otherwise, damage to the electrical main wiring harness (10) may occur.
22	Lift crossmember (1) over the electrical main wiring harness (10) and lay down outside the vehicle.	id of helper required.
23	Remove voltage converter (4) including the bracket from the crossmember (1).	Model 907 with code EE1 (230 V socket) Model 907 with code EE3 (115 V socket) When replacing crossmember (1).
24	Install in the reverse order.
