		Deburr repair panels.

	Remove
1	Remove left or right front wheel-and-tire assembly.		AR40.10-P-1102A
2	Remove screw fastening front axle shaft to wheel hub.	The aid of a helper is required to remove the screw.
3	Detach steering knuckle from upper transverse control arm.		AR33.25-P-0400FR
4	Remove drive shaft from steering knuckle.
5	Pull front axle shafts (1) out of front axle differential and intermediate shaft (4) using impact extractor (02) and pull-off device (03).	If the left front axle shaft (1) is seized, remove the retaining ring (2) on the intermediate shaft (4) and pull out the left front axle shaft (1 with the intermediate shaft (4). Otherwise the oil pan may be damaged.
		Ensure scrupulous cleanliness when working on the front axle differential. Otherwise the front axle differential will be damaged.

6	Fix steering knuckle on upper transverse control arm.
7.1	Remove retaining ring from front axle shaft (1)	When removing right front axle shaft (1).
7.2	Remove retaining ring (1s) of intermediate shaft (4).	When removing left front axle shaft (1).
8	Remove radial shaft sealing ring.	When removing right front axle shaft (1).	AR33.30-P-0540MSA
	Install
9	Check dust boots of front axle shafts (1).	If damage is found,
		Replace front axle shaft.
10	Install radial shaft sealing ring.	When installing right front axle shaft (1).	AR33.30-P-0540MSA
		Replace radial shaft sealing ring.
11.1	Install retaining ring (1s) of intermediate shaft (4).	When installing left front axle shaft (1).
			Replace retaining ring (1s) of intermediate shaft (4).
			Apply light coating of microgrease to retaining ring (1s).

11.2	Install retaining ring of front axle shaft (1).	When installing right front axle shaft (1).
		Replace retaining ring of front axle shaft (1).
		Apply light coating of microgrease to retaining ring.

12	Install intermediate shaft (4).	If necessary.	AR33.30-P-0625MSA
13	Lightly grease gearing of intermediate shaft (4).	Before installation of the left front axle shaft (1).
		Klueber Microlube GNY 202	*BR00.45-Z-1071-06A
14	Press front axle shafts (1) into front axle differential and intermediate shaft (4).
15	Release fixing and insert front axle shafts (1) into steering knuckle.
16	Attach steering knuckle to upper transverse control arm.	Nut, steering knuckle to transverse control arm	*BA33.20-P-1006-01U
17	Tighten screw fastening front axle shaft to wheel hub.	Replace bolt. The aid of a helper is required to tighten the screw.
		Screw/bolt, front axle shaft to wheel hub	*BA33.30-P-1001-02H
18	Install left or right front wheel-and-tire assembly.		AR40.10-P-1102A
19	Check front axle differential for leaktightness and proper operation.
