	Remove/install
1	Remove front wheel.		AR40.10-P-1102A
2	Remove screw (10).	Model 257 with engine 656 with transmission 725.0 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)	AR33.30-P-0620OIB
		Model 257 with engine 256 with transmission 725.0 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)	AR33.30-P-0620MSA
3	Remove brake disk.		AR42.10-P-0220FR
4	Detach left front axle rpm sensor (L6/1) or right front axle rpm sensor (L6/2) and place to one side with electrical line connected.	Model 257.361	AR42.30-P-0713LWA

5	Unclip electrical line from bracket (13).	Model 257 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)
6	Unhook front right brake wear sensor (S10/2) from bracket (2).	When removing the right steering knuckle (1).
7	Unscrew nut (11).	Model 257 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)
		Nut, torsion bar linkage to steering knuckle	*BA32.35-P-1006-02B
8	Unscrew nut (3) and detach tie rod (4).	Counterhold the ball head and do not use an impact wrench/driver. Otherwise, the ball head or steering knuckle (1) may be damaged.
		Self-locking nut, tie rod to steering knuckle	*BA46.40-P-1001-01P
9	Unscrew nut (5).	Counterhold the ball head and do not use an impact wrench/driver. Otherwise, the ball head or steering knuckle (1) may be damaged.
		Nut, strut rod to steering knuckle	*BA33.20-P-1003-01U
10	Unscrew nut (6).	Counterhold the ball head and do not use an impact wrench/driver. Otherwise, the ball head or steering knuckle (1 may be damaged.
		Nut, spring control arm to steering knuckle	*BA33.20-P-1001-01U
11	Unscrew nut (7) and detach upper transverse control arm (8) from steering knuckle (1).	Counterhold the ball head and do not use an impact wrench/driver. Otherwise, the ball head or steering knuckle (1 may be damaged.
		Nut, steering knuckle to transverse control arm	*BA33.20-P-1006-01U
12	Pull torsion bar linkage (12) out of steering knuckle (1).	Model 257 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) The guide pin (14) must latch into the cutout (15) in the steering knuckle (1). Otherwise, the steering knuckle (1) will be damaged.
13	Guide steering knuckle (1) out of strut rod and spring link and remove.
14	Remove brake cover plate (9).	When replacing the steering knuckle (1).
		Bolt, front axle brake cover plate to steering knuckle	*BA42.10-P-1003-06J
15	Remove wheel bearing.	When replacing the steering knuckle (1).

16	Detach bracket (13).	Model 257 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) When replacing the steering knuckle (1).
17	Install in the reverse order.
