Remove/Install Dashboard - AR68.10-P-1000ME

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove steering column tube module control unit (N80).   AR54.25-P-2802ME
2 Remove head unit/instrument cluster display cluster (A40/16).   AR54.30-P-6023ME
3 Remove screw/bolt (2).    
4 Unclip center instrument panel speaker (H20/22, H21/22, H22/22) and release and disconnect electrical connector. Model 167

IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors varies according to vehicle equipment.

5 Remove screw (3).    
6 Remove start/stop button (S2/2).   AR54.25-P-4001ME
7 Remove glove box.   AR68.10-P-1400ME 
8 Unscrew screw (4).    
9 Unscrew bolt (7).    
10 Remove door seals in the area of the left and right A-pillar from the door fold. INSTALLATION NOTES
Ensure that the door seals are seated correctly.
Otherwise they may be damaged.
 
11 Remove bottom trim for instrument panel (1) on the driver's side.   AR68.10-P-1501ME 
12 Unclip center A-pillar trim (10) from the driver's side starting from the top and remove. SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
13 Remove screws (11).    
14 Remove trim from the left and right A-pillar.   AR68.30-P-4050ME 
15 Remove screws/bolts (9).    
16 Remove exterior lighting switch group and electric parking brake (S1/2).   AR54.25-P-3270ME
17 Unclip cover (12). SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 1
18 Remove bolts (13).    
19 Remove air conditioning control panel (N58/1)   AR83.30-P-6630ME
20 Remove screw (14). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt/nut, front passenger airbag to instrument panel crossmember *BA91.60-P-1003-01R 
21 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (15) from front passenger airbag (17). IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (15) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.  
    SPECIAL TOOL Removal lever Fig 2
22 Release center console until the instrument panel (1) can be pulled out toward the rear.   AR68.20-P-2000ME 
23 Pull out instrument panel (1) toward the rear until the remaining electric lines are accessible. NOTES
Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
 
24 Remove remaining electric lines from the instrument panel (1). NOTES
Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure electrical lines are routed correctly.
 
25 Remove instrument panel (1) on the driver's side. IMPORTANT Helper required.  
26 Install in the reverse order
