| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Carry out commissioning of steering column tube module control unit (N80). | If steering column tube module control unit (N80) is replaced. | |

| 2 | Move steering wheel all the way to the rear. | ||
| 3 | Turn steering wheel to center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position). | ||
| 4 | Remove steering wheel. | AR46.10-P-0100ME | |
| 5 | Unclip boot (3) at catch hooks all around on the steering column tube module control unit (N80). |

| 6 | Detach steering column tube module control unit (N80) from steering column tube far enough to gain access to the concealed electrical connector (1). | Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. Do not operate red safety catch in steering column tube module control unit (N80). Clock spring contact will otherwise be destroyed. |

| 7 | Remove locking clip (2) from electrical connector (1). | ||
| 8 | Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect. | ||
| 9 | Remove steering column tube module control unit (N80). | ||
| 10 | Install in the reverse order |
