	Remove/install
1	Remove front wheel.		AR40.10-P-1102A
2	Open cable duct (1) at suspension strut (2) and place to one side with connected lines.
3	Unhook brake hose (10) from holders (11).	Model 257 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
		Model 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
4	Unhook electric lines (13) from holder (14) and place to one side.	Model 257 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive) except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
		Model 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
5	Remove suspension strut (2) from spring link (5).	Installation:  Observe insertion direction of bolt (6). Bolt (6) must be inserted from the rear towards the front.
		Otherwise the brake or the rim may be damaged.
		Nut, suspension strut to spring control arm	*BA32.25-P-1002-04P
6	Secure steering knuckle (3) against falling down.
7	Remove upper transverse control arm (4) from steering knuckle (3).	Model 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)	AR33.20-P-0500FRX
		Model 257 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)	AR33.20-P-0500FR
8.1	Remove cover (7).	When removing right suspension strut (2).
8.2	Remove cover (8).	When removing the left suspension strut (2).
9	Unscrew nuts (9).	Nut, strut to body	*BA32.25-P-1001-04P
10	Remove suspension strut (2) downwards.	Carefully remove suspension strut (2).
		Otherwise the spring control arm strut on the spring control arm (5) may be damaged.
	Check
11	Check condition of suspension strut (2).	In the event of a problem, ↓
		Replace damaged parts on suspension strut (2).

12	Check condition of suspension strut joint at spring link (5).	In the event of a problem, ↓
		Replace spring link (5).
		Model 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)	AR33.15-P-0170FRX

13	Install in the reverse order.
14	Check and correct headlamp adjustment.	When replacing components. Model 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)	AP82.10-P-8260O
