Type 907 

Battery check with Midtronics 

All battery types used by Mercedes-Benz (wet and fleece batteries) are tested with the Midtronics battery tester.

Additional batteries without KAltepruf current information (such as battery Not-P (G1 / 13) for type 907) cannot be tested with the Midtronics. With these, only the voltage can be checked.

New work positions simplify warranty processing. The battery data and the test code (except battery Not-P (G1 / 13) for type 907) can already be recorded on the repair order. This eliminates the need to fill out the "test sheet for on-board power supply batteries".

The new  Work positions are:

Type 907 

• 54 1108 

  Check condition of starter battery

  Check auxiliary battery emergency switching parking lock (battery removed)

For battery Not-P (G1 / 13), area for test code with " BATTERY NOT-P"; to complete. document SI54.10-S-0050A take this into account.

These work positions replace the following work positions:

• 1105 Check battery performance and condition.
• 1107 Check batteries (both) for performance and condition.

For the guarantee and goodwill application, the procedure of article WR 04-02-020 from the Extended Warranty Manual Retail (EWMR) or from the Warranty Manual Wholesale (WMW) must be observed.

The Midtronics printout must be stored in an audit-proof manner (except for the battery Not-P (G1 / 13) in type 907 ).

Special feature type 415:  The date of manufacture of the on-board power supply battery (G1) is not attached to the pole, but is stamped into the housing. The embossing date of manufacture of the on-board power supply battery (1) is usually located on the upper edge of the housing.
