2	Remove screws (1).
3	Remove mounting plate (2) then release and disconnect electrical connector.
4	Remove washers of screws (1).	If washers are installed.
5	Release and disconnect electrical connector from steering column tube module control unit.
6	Unscrew screws (6, 7) and remove cover (8).	Dismantling tool	Fig 1
7	Remove bolts (5).
8	Unclip hand detection system control unit (N179) and release and disconnect electrical connectors. 9	Remove cover (4) with button group 1 for lower multifunction steering wheel, button group 2 for lower multifunction steering wheel, and button group electric controller unit for lower multifunction steering wheel.	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
10	Release and disconnect electrical connectors (3) of steering wheel electronics (N135), and remove steering wheel electronics (N135).	Observe installation position of washers and steering wheel electronics (N135).
	Install
11	Connect and lock electrical connectors (3) of steering wheel electronics (N135), and install steering wheel electronics (N135).	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function. Ensure that electrical connectors (3) engage correctly. Ensure that routing of lines is correct.
12	Install cover (4) with button group 1 for lower multifunction steering wheel, button group Tastengruppe2 for lower multifunction steering wheel, and button group electric controller unit for lower multifunction steering wheel.	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
13	Connect and lock electrical connectors at hand detection system control unit (N179), and install hand detection system control unit (N179). 19	Connect electrical connector and install mounting plate (2).	Ensure that the electrical connectors are engaged correctly.
