Remove/Install Airbag Unit On Steering Wheel - AR91.60-S-0660E

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Turn steering wheel (2) to center position.    
2 Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.   AR54.10-S-0003E
3 Punch through access openings (3) on steering wheel (2) using a hexalobular external profile screwdriver T20. When removing the airbag unit (1) for the first time.  
4 Using hexalobular external profile screwdriver T20, release retaining clamps (4) on both sides through access openings (3) and remove airbag unit (1) from steering wheel (2). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The retaining clip (4) must audibly engage.  
5 Disconnect electrical connector (5). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that electrical connector (5) is locked correctly.  
6 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
7 Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system. When replacing airbag unit (1).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Remove diagnostic system. AD00.00-S-2000-04E
8 Perform function test of horns.
