	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

	Install front securing device
1	Position vehicle as centrally as possible between the vehicle lift columns
2	Move front seats to front-most position
3	Remove front passenger bench seat cushion support	Model 447.6/7 with code S23 (Co-driver's seat double seat)	AR91.10-S-5036E
4	Raise vehicle	Jack up vehicle only until the wheels are clear of the ground.	AR00.60-S-1000E
5.1	Route suitable tensioning strap (1) below the guide rails (2) of the front seats along the support arms (3) of the vehicle lift	Model 447 except code S23 (Co-driver's seat double seat) The front doors can now no longer be closed. For extended periods of work, switch off interior lighting.
5.2	Route suitable tensioning strap (1) over the front passenger bench seat and below the guide rails (2) of the driver's seat along the support arms (3) of the vehicle lift	Model 447 with code S23 (Co-driver's seat double seat) The front doors can now no longer be closed. For extended periods of work, switch off interior lighting.
6	Tension tensioning strap (1) using accompanying ratchet	Only tension tensioning strap (1) until a sufficient tension for securing the vehicle is achieved. This prevents damage. Store remaining tensioning strap (1) accordingly.
	Check
7	Check securing device	If necessary ↓ Retension tensioning strap (1).
	Install rear securing device
8	Raise vehicle to full height		AR00.60-S-1000E
9	Route suitable tensioning strap (4) at the support arm (5) and semi-trailing arm (6).	Depending on the work being done on the vehicle, secure the respective side or both sides of the vehicle.
10	Tension tensioning strap (4) using accompanying ratchet	Only tension the tensioning strap (4) until sufficient tension for securing the vehicle is achieved. This prevents damage.
	Check
11	Check securing device	If necessary ↓ Retension tensioning strap (4).
	Remove
12	Remove tensioning straps (1, 4) from support arms (3, 5)
13	Remove respective tensioning strap (4) from respective semi-trailing arm (6)
14	Lower vehicle
15	Remove tensioning strap (1) from vehicle interior
16	Install seat cushion padding on front passenger bench seat	Model 447.6/7 with code S23 (Co-driver's seat double seat)	AR91.10-S-5036E
17	Move front seats to their original position
