Function overview and brief description of programmable logic control (PLC) 

PLC functions are made available in the parameterizable special module (PSM). This enables simple logical operations between signals in the PSM signal pool to be realized.

The PLC functions can be coded; this means that the input signals into the PLC can be freely selected from the signal pool.

Coding is performed using the diagnostic system. With some blocks, it is also possible to set parameters such as thresholds and times.

3 identically structured logic configuration blocks are provided, one configuration block for multifunction outputs, one configuration block for the arithmetic unit and one configuration block for signal outputs and the configuration of the multifunction inputs.

Function blocks for arithmetic unit 

The function blocks calculation block, filter block, differentiator/integrator, comparison block and characteristics block for the arithmetic unit can be individually assigned for processing purposes to one of 4 calculation steps.

They are processed successively from calculation step 1 to 4. The results for each calculation step are available after they have been processed in the signal pool, and they can continue to be used in the following calculation steps.
