Parameterizable special module (PSM) arithmetic, characteristics block, function 

A characteristic is defined by 8 x-y pairs, the basis of which is used to then convert the input value (W).

Result (E) = f (Value (W))

• Value (W) → x1 → Result (E) = y1
• Value (W) → x8 → Result (E) = y8

Otherwise, the result (E) is formed from the linear interpolation between the next two closest value pairs.

Signal identification number = Signal ID.
