	Remove/install
1	Unscrew cap of brake fluid reservoir.	Correct the brake fluid level only after the brake pedal has been operated several times. The brake linings (5) must make contact with the brake disk. Firm resistance should be noticeable at the brake pedal.
2	Remove front wheels.		AR40.10-S-1100E
3	Disconnect electrical connector (1).	Ensure electrical line of electrical connection (1) is routed correctly.
4	Remove cover caps from screws (2).	Coat inner side of caps of screws/bolts (2) with assembly grease included in the repair kit. The bolts (2) can otherwise corrode.
5	Remove lower screw (2) and swivel brake caliper (3) upwards.	When swiveling the brake caliper (3) downward, do not damage the protective boot of the pilot bushing. The pilot bushing can otherwise corrode. Replace lower bolt (2). Screw/bolt, floating brake caliper to floating caliper carrier	*BA42.10-Z-1003-03KOB
6	Remove brake linings (5) from brake caliper support (4).	Do not apply any brake paste or assembly grease. This can otherwise cause the brake system to malfunction. Install outer right brake lining (5) with right front brake wear sensor (S10/2).
	Check
7	Check brake linings (5) and brake disks for wear and damage.

		Remove/install front axle brake disk	AR42.10-S-0230E
8	Check brake hoses for wear and damage.	If wear or damage is present, ↓ Replace appropriate brake hose. Remove/install brake hoses at front axle	AR42.10-S-0024E
9	Push back respective piston on brake caliper (3).	The dust boot must not protrude in this position. The dust boot can otherwise be damaged. If the brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir is too high, extract some brake fluid. Commercially available devices/tools Extraction bellows
		Resetting device If piston is sluggish or dust boot is damaged, ↓ replace respective brake caliper (3).	Fig 2

10	Remove brake lining retaining springs of brake linings (5) from brake caliper support (4).	Always replace brake lining retaining springs.
	Clean
11	Clean contact surfaces of brake linings (5) on brake caliper support (4) and on brake caliper (3).	Brake caliper brush	Fig 1
12	Install in the reverse order.

13	Perform brake test on test stand.
