	Remove/install
1	Remove front wheel and tire assemblies.		AR40.10-P-1102ME
2	Remove wheel hub cover.	Removal and installation tool	Fig 1
3	Remove screws of front axle shafts (10).	The aid of a helper is required to remove the screws.
		Screw/bolt, front axle shaft to wheel hub	*BA33.30-P-1001-02J
4	Loosen front axle shaft (10) from wheel hub.	Only loosen front axle shaft (10). Screwing in the extraction tool completely will damage the front axle shaft (10).

5	Remove suspension strut from lower control arm. 6	Remove electrical wiring harnesses from steering knuckle.
7	Remove steering knuckle from upper transverse control arm and swivel out of working area.		AR33.20-P-0500ME
		Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension This leads to damage to the lines and impairs their function.
8	Remove front axle shaft (10) from wheel hub.
9	Pry front axle shaft (10) out of front axle differential and remove.	Aid of helper required. Do not damage boots (10m) and protective ring (10r) of front axle shaft (10) or radial shaft sealing ring in front axle differential. Replace retaining ring (10s).
	Check
10	Check radial shaft sealing ring in front axle differential for damage.	If damage is found, ↓ replace radial shaft sealing ring.	AR33.30-P-7140MSC
11	Install in the reverse order.
12	Check front axle differential for leaktightness and proper operation.
