REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install
1 Remove front left or right wheel and tire assembly.   AR40.10-P-1102ME
2 Transfer the pneumatic pressure of suspension strut (1) into the central reservoir using the diagnostic system.
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06ME
    NOTES
The complete wheels must not touch the ground.
Otherwise, suspension strut (1) may suffer initial damage and malfunction at a later stage
IMPORTANT Select menu item "Actuations" in active suspension and damping system control unit.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Transfer pneumatic pressure out of the central reservoir into suspension strut (1) using the diagnostic system.

3 Empty hydraulic pressure lines (4) of electrohydraulic suspension using guided diagnosis. NOTES
The complete wheels must not touch the ground.
Otherwise, suspension strut (1) may suffer initial damage and malfunction at a later stage.
IMPORTANT It is essential for shutoff valves on suspension strut (1) to be closed.
AR32.50-P-0042ME
4 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).
5 Remove covers over suspension strut (1) at top.
6 Detach pneumatic pressure line (2) at suspension strut (1) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs. NOTES
Do not stretch, crush or kink pneumatic pressure line (2).
This will result in damage to pneumatic pressure line (2) and can impair its function.
IMPORTANT Before beginning repair work, clean the area around the pneumatic pressure line connections. Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
