	Check
1	Check gap dimensions at front passenger door (1).	Always perform adjustment work on uneven gap dimensions on upper and lower hinge leaves. Otherwise tension and damage can occur. Model 290 B-pillar cover to front window	*BE60.00-P-1016-01KA

	Remove
2	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).
3	Remove screws (14) and remove lock striker (13).
4	Remove glove compartment.		AR68.10-P-1402FR
5	Unclip front passenger side A-pillar fuse box (F1/3) from A-pillar (8) (arrows) and place to one side.	Do not disconnect electric lines of front passenger side A-pillar fuse box (F1/3).
6	Remove upper insulation insert (9).	The upper A-pillar insulation insert (9) is inserted into the A-pillar (8) before the nuts (5).
	Adjust
7	Release nuts (4, 5) at A-pillar (8) in succession, adjust front passenger door (1) and re-tighten respective nut (4, 5).	Do not loosen nuts (4, 5) simultaneously. If the front passenger door (1) comes into contact with other components, the paint can be damaged. Do not tension hinges (2, 3) when adjusting. Otherwise the hinges (2, 3) can be damaged. A socket wrench extension with a length of ≥ 250 mm (a) and a flexible-head socket wrench are additionally required to release and tighten the nuts (5). 8	Release screws (11, 12) at front passenger door (1) in succession adjust transition to front fender and re-tighten respective screw (11, 12). Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths	Do not loosen bolts (11, 12) simultaneously. If the front passenger door (1) comes into contact with other components, the paint can be damaged. Do not tension hinges (2, 3) when adjusting. Otherwise the hinges (2, 3) can be damaged. Front fender contour must be flush with front passenger door (1) contour or may protrude by max. 1 mm. To tighten bolts (11, 12) use torque wrench (15) in combination with bent bit holder (16). 9	Position lock striker (13) on B-pillar and screw in screws (14) up to end stop.	It must still be possible to adjust lock striker (13).
10	Align lock striker (13) by carefully closing from passenger door (1).	Front passenger door (1) contour must be flush with side wall contour or may protrude by max. 1 mm.
11	Tighten screws (14) of lock striker (13) at B-pillar.	Bolt, lock striker to B-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1004-01W
	Install
12	Repair paint damage at screw heads of respective screws.
13	Protect front passenger door (1) and A-pillar (8) in area of both hinges (2, 3) against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
14	Install upper insulation insert (9).
15	Clip front passenger side A-pillar fuse box (F1/3) into A-pillar (8).
16	Install glove compartment.		AR68.10-P-1402FR
	Check
17	Check adjustment of front side window, adjust if necessary.		AR67.30-P-0100FR
18	Calibrate 360° camera in outside mirror of front passenger door using vehicle diagnosis system.	Model 257, 290 with code 501 (360° camera)
