| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||

| 3 | Unclip lower tailgate trim (1) starting at lower area and remove until electrical connectors can be accessed. | Fig 1 | |
| 4 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors and remove lower tailgate trim (1). | ||

| 5 | Check catch hooks of lower tailgate trim (1) for damage. | If there is a problem, ↓ Replace bottom liftgate trim (1). |

| 7 | Connect electrical connectors, position lower tailgate trim (1) on tailgate and clip in starting at upper area. | ||
