Remove/Install Handle On Liftgate Trim - AR72.20-P-6620-01ME

Removal 

1. Disassemble and remove the handle upper part (2b) at the removal opening of the handle (2) with long wedge from the handle lower part (2a).
2. Remove clamps (3) with a suitable tool.
3. Remove the handle lower part (2a) from the lower liftgate trim (1).
4. Check clamps (3) for damage.

   If there is a problem,

   ↓

   Install new clamps (3).

   Installation 

5. Install clamps (3) with the engagement downward into the handle lower part (2a).

   The latching lugs (arrows A) of the clamps (3) must enclose the handle lower part (2a) correctly.

   Otherwise, damage may occur when closing the liftgate.

   The clamps (3) must engage audibly.

6. Assemble handle upper part (2b) and handle lower part (2a).
7. Install the assembled handle (2) in the removed lower liftgate trim (1).

   Ensure that the handle (2) is correctly seated in the lower liftgate trim (1).
