	Measure, adjust
	Risk of injury.  Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components.	AS00.00-Z-0009-01A
1	Perform wheel alignment check		AR40.20-P-0200AC
2	Turn the steering to full left lock	The maximum steering angle must always be measured relative to the inner wheel. The measurement must not be performed when the engine is running, as otherwise the hydraulic limiter will prevent the mechanical limit stop from being reached.
3	Measure actual value for the maximum steering angle of the left front wheel	Read off the actual value for the maximum steering angle on the scale of the turnplate or on the display of the electronic measuring system. With standard tires the actual value may only deviate from the specified value within the tolerance. If the maximum steering angle has to be readjusted: ↓ Undo the locknut, turn the stop screw (5) in or out to match the required adjustment and tighten the locknut again. Grease the stop screw (5) lightly.

4	Check the clearance between the left front tire and the trailing arm	There must be a distance of approx. 2 cm between the left front tire and the trailing arm. Irrespective of the specified value the maximum steering angle must be corrected if necessary, in particular for tires which do not correspond to standard tires.
5	Turn the steering to full right lock
6	Measuring the actual value for the maximum steering angle of the right front wheel	Procedure as for the left side. Model 460 Model 461 (except 461.339) with front axle 730Steering angle	*BE46.10-P-1001-04A
7	Checking the clearance between the right front tire and the trailing arm	Procedure as for the left side.
8	Check hydraulic limiter of steering gear and adjust if necessary	Model 460, 461 (except 461.339) with steering gear 765.5 Model 463 with steering gear 765.5 as of model year 2013 up to model year 2019 The hydraulic limiter must always be used just before the mechanical front axle end stop. Otherwise, excess forces may be applied to the steering mechanical system. For each change in maximum wheel angle e.g. when fitting larger-sized tires, the hydraulic limiter of the steering gear has to be readjusted.	AR46.25-P-3090F
